He rode until he felt the beast grow tired, then slowed down to a trot. Turning in the saddle, Jaldon saw Wyren a good distance behind him. The faithful drudge was riding a chestnut mare that resembled him in both coloring and temperament. Jaldon waved, then kept at a slow pace
Dragondoctor Ch. 1A blue firelizard zipped across the beach, trilling happily as he darted in and out of the waves. A green female followed him, in a reverse of the usual chase. They were playing a game of tag, and so far, the blue was winning.Dragondoctor Ch. 1
The green bugled, teasing the blue as she started gaining on him. He started to fly higher in an attempt to evade her. That was when a burst of light unfolded nearby, accompanied by a reverberating whirring sound.
The green squealed and blinked into between, but the blue remained, frozen by fear as much as courage. Before him was a large box, blue like his hide, with words written
